Overview
Because That Road is Trodden is a dreamlike confessional fantasy examining the day-to-day life of a sixteen-year-old schoolboy which was shot at Bryanston School, an independent school. On the one hand the boy wants to conform, be diligent, and to make the most of his opportunities at school; on the other hand he wishes to be far away and in love with a beautiful girl.
