The Sense of an Ending
An elderly divorcé is left money by an old flame's mother; confused, he attempts to find out why... Ritesh Batra (The Lunchbox) adapts Julian Barnes' acclaimed novel.
Director: Ritesh Batra
Overview
An elderly divorcé receives a sum of money in the will of his university girlfriend's mother. Confused, he tries to discover the reason for her gift. Sense of an Ending is Ritesh Batra's (The Lunchbox) charming and intelligent adaptation of Julian Barnes' Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name. Jim Broadbent (Moulin Rouge!, Topsy-Turvy) is terrific as the bewildered divorcé, and Charlotte Rampling (45 Years) shines as his enigmatic former lover.
