Monty the Lamb
A day in the life of North London non-leaguers Hendon F.C., seen through the eyes of their club mascot, carpet fitter Dave Garner.
Director: Paul Kelly
Overview
In the midst of their 'London trilogy' of films, Saint Etienne's Bob Stanley and director Paul Kelly filmed this charming documentary short about a day in the life of carpet fitter Dave Garner, whose Saturday job is dressing up as the club mascot for North London non-leaguers Hendon F.C.
Saint Etienne tracks such as 'Soft Like Me' form the backdrop of this romantic history of Hendon, which also acts as celebration of truly local football clubs, their connection to the communities, and the committed people who keep them alive.
