Overview

In San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury, the Summer of Love is in full swing. Back in the British capital of cool, laid-back 60s hipsters hang out on the grooviest of London streets, the King’s Road. A whirligig of fashions are on display - dollies, kooks, hippies, Regency mods and Chelsea girls in bum-high Pucci patterns. The ‘in crowd’ are conspicuously ‘in’ as they flit from Dandie Fashions to Countdown and Mary Quant’s Bazaar on a street defined by its youth subcultures.
