Shuttered Windows
Windows of opportunity: how a charity aimed to improve the lives of blind and partially sighted people.
From the collection of:
Overview
This fundraising film promotes the work of the Blind Aid Society of Manchester and Salford. From the home teaching service, and cricket for the blind in Heaton Park, to the convalescent home in Southport, this is a record of the charitable help available to blind and partially sighted local people in the 1930s. The film's commentary includes outdated language which is now considered offensive.
