Overview

Oulton Broad is one of the larger stretches of water that form the network of waterways commonly known as the Norfolk Broads, even though parts are in the county of Suffolk. On the edge of the coastal town of Lowestoft, Oulton Broad joins Lake Lothing, which is a more salty body being closer to the sea, as it leads to Lowestoft harbour at the mouth of the River Waveney. Oulton Broad is a popular tourist venue, offering yacht hire and watersports, including powerboat racing.
