A son tries to help his grief-stricken father by creating a harem at their spacious home in Peter Greenaway's Palme d'Or-nominated film.
Director: Peter Greenaway
Overview
A grief-stricken father and son are inspired by a screening of Fellini’s 8½ to create a harem at their Geneva estate. They recruit a concubine with a gambling debt in return for a line of credit at a casino. With a cast including Toni Collette, Amanda Plummer and Polly Walker, this darkly funny work features explicit dialogue and provides an original take on male sexual fantasy, once again presented in Greenaway’s inimitable style.
