Overview

After being diagnosed with terminal cancer at 24 years old, filmmaker Kit Vincent’s first instinct is to turn on his camera and document those closest to him. His parents, naturally having a hard time coming to terms with their son’s illness, employ the likes of cannabis farming, converting to Judaism, and uncovering shocking family revelations to process their grief. Capturing the absurdity of the things we do to find solace in times of inexplicable tragedy, this is a darkly humorous, personal and touching documentary about a life cut short.

Red Herring was made with the support of the BFI Doc Society Fund, awarding National Lottery funding.
