Overview

A wealthy entrepreneur decides on a whim to purchase the film rights to an acclaimed novel and finance the project on his own. What follows is a volatile – and highly entertaining - rehearsal process, driven by an eccentric filmmaker Elena (Cruz) and her two very different leads: flashy movie star Felix Rivero (Banderas) and conceited stage thespian Ivan Torres (Martínez). Nominated for the Golden Lion at 2021’s Venice Film Festival, this starry trio give the impression they had a lot of fun making this deliciously enjoyable satire.
