Overview

In the near future, TV sedates the population while books are banned and burnt - Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper ignites. Truffaut's only film shot in English is a moving adaptation of Ray Bradbury's novel, in which a fireman gradually discovering a love of literature is duly outlawed. With stunning photography by Nicolas Roeg and an impressive score by Bernard Herrmann.
