Thames Scenes Procession in East End Tower Bridge
Whistle stop tour of the Thames' iconic locations, followed by crowds, eels and strongmen in the East End.
From the collection of:
Overview
Tower Bridge and the Tower of London strike an interest, but the East End is the real star of this film. Crowds initially gather for the camera in Bethnal Green, before a pro trade union procession, in aid of the Hackney Nurses Home, bustles past. Snippets of an eel seller and a strongman performing in the street complete what is a memorable journey.
