Overview

This amusing comedy sees a man driving the family car past various garages and showrooms around Guildford and Woking. At the Hillman dealer he purchases a new Hillman Minx. Arriving back home, he takes a nap in a deckchair while wearing a pair of sunglasses with red square frames. We then see him walking inside the home seeing square shapes everywhere - even in a serving hatch. To his horror he sees square wheels on the Hillman Minx until it’s revealed that he's been dreaming.

Established in 1959, the Woking Cine Club devised and produced a number of amateur fiction and non-fiction films from the 1960s to the 1990s. In 1984 the club changed its name to Woking Film Makers, with a mission to encourage film production as a hobby and to further the knowledge and skills of its members. Besides documentary films and instructional films, the group produced numerous fiction films, often with darkly comic themes.
