Sparta the Dog
An affectionate record of a family pet, Sparta the Springer Spaniel who leads a full and active life, but with plenty of cuddles from her family.
From the collection of:
Overview
Mrs Thelma Dowding from Great Yarmouth captured on film the family’s most adored pet, Sparta the Springer Spaniel, as she bounds about on the Yarmouth-Caister marshes, wades through dykes, and at home, celebrates her third birthday. We are also introduced to ‘Annie’, who hand feeds worms to a quite unbelievably tame garden bird. PLEASE NOTE: A section of this film features a family member preparing a cow carcass, that some viewers may find difficult to watch.
