Funeral Procession in Edinburgh (1901)
Mourners process through the wintry streets of Edinburgh.
Overview
We don't know whose passing this sombre funeral procession was marking, and the poor light makes it difficult to distinguish much about the mourners, either. But the naval uniforms suggest a military connection. The ominous-looking 'lightning bolts' throughout the film are the result of static created in the camera during filming - rather than a sign of divine disapproval.
