The East Anglian Film Archive, the first and largest Regional Film Archive in England, was established in 1976. Since 1984, EAFA has been owned and operated by the University of East Anglia, Norwich (UEA), to support research and work to preserve our moving image heritage. More than 250 hours are freely available online as examples of the wide range of film which attracts interest the world over.

Overview
The commentary states "In 1960 there were 3 billion people in the world, by 1985, barring accidents, they'll be 5 billion. If chaos is to be avoided, homes and opportunities must be organised for them - now!" This regional documentary focuses on the movers and shakers of the city's Development Corporation as it unveils proposed expansion and provision for 100,000 more people with the investment of Ј330 million and the creation of a Greater Peterborough.
Written and produced by Tony Archer, this programme is a fascinating insight into the thinking behind urban town planning in 1971. A film such as this is an invaluable moviong image record of our social history.
