Overview

Nottingham youngsters Pat and Adrian learn to ride the Raleigh way. The Raleigh School of Cycling was a scheme launched by the Nottingham-based cycle manufacturer in 1955, predating the national Cycle Proficiency test. After seeing the high-profile launch event, which includes cycling inside Nottingham's landmark Palais de Danse ballroom, we take to the streets with two young riders who have Raleigh's finest instructors to teach them the rules of the road.
