Overview
Queen Elizabeth II’s 25th year on the throne provides the excuse for a community tea at the Holywell Youth Centre, where the best-dressed bicycle competition takes place and adults as well as children have a laugh taking part in egg-and-spoon races. A few shots of the town’s St Winefride’s Church close the film. Shot by Charles William Staniforth (d.2010) whose wife Catherine (d.2012) worked at the Courtaulds factory in Greenfield. Their son rides the Chopper bike.
