Overview

The Chief Scout's first official visit to Blackburn, and scouts and guides from across the north of England put on an enthusiastic display in Witton Park. The Burnley News estimated that 6,000 people turned up to appreciate the "wide scope that the scout movement affords" and there is certainly a range of skills on show, including bridge building, signalling, and, of course, the wolf cubs' shimmy!
