Overview
This charming film captures Best in the first flush of superstardom. Already renowned for his footballing exploits on the pitch, here we see George Best the fashionista. Crowds of eager fans jostle outside his boutique, faces pressed against the window, all desperate to catch a glimpse of their hero. These news rushes are courtesy of the UTV Archive.
Best ran a number of boutiques in Manchester. His business partner in the rag trade, none other than Manchester City footballer, Mike Summerbee.
