Workers Leaving T & W Lees of Stockport (1901)

An orderly exit from one of the biggest hat factories in Edwardian Stockport.

Non-Fiction 1901 2 mins Silent

Overview

Stockport was the centre of the British hat industry, and with that in mind it's difficult to look beyond the headgear of these workers leaving one of the area's biggest factories. Are there more bowler hats here than in similar films? The company lasted until 1966, when it merged with four others to become Associated British Hat Manufacturers Ltd.
