Welsh Magic
Pin-sharp post-war views of the welshest parts of Wales, from slate and coal mines to the fine cities like Aberystwyth.
Overview
Is Welsh magic: a) pulling a rarebit out of a hat, or b) a travelogue celebrating the diverse landscapes, cities and industries of the country? In this case it's the latter, an episode of the series Travelling Around, which looked at different areas of Britain; combining a keen eye for the interesting viewpoint with some pin-sharp photography. The scenes of slate miners scrambling precariously around a quarry and the portraits of young coal miners are particular highlights.
