Overview
Film made by the Stockwell College of Education showing modern teaching methods at different schools, including some in East Dulwich, Purley Oaks, Orpington, Ruislip, Guildford and Sidcup. While much of it is filmed in the classroom, there are also memorable trips to a farm, quarry and a construction site. The focus is on the teachers but it’s the kids that offer many of the more memorable moments. The narrator is Shaw Taylor of Police 5.
The schools featured include Heber Infants School, East Dulwich; Kevington Junior And Infants School, Orpington; Lady Bankes Infant School, Ruislip; Northcourt Junior And Infant School, Gravesend; St Peter’s Junior And Infants School; Purley Oaks Infants School; Sherwood Park Infants School, Sidcup; and Stoughton Junior School in Guildford. Nice avant-garde soundtrack too.
