Cycling stunts and sight gags in a music hall curio.

Government sponsored film 1945 4 mins

Overview

A lanky comedian entertains an audience of servicemen and women with a series of bicycle-related stunts and sight gags in this comedy curio. Released by the Colonial Film Unit in December 1945, the film was intended for overseas audiences. It offered those serving abroad a reminder of home and those in the colonies a (perhaps rather baffling) taste of British music hall entertainment.

This government film is a public record, preserved and presented by the BFI National Archive on behalf of The National Archives, home to more than 1,000 years of British history.
