Primeminister at Bath
Wartime wedding bells for Richard Lloyd George, son of the PM, at Bath Abbey.
Overview
Enjoy a bird's eye view of the newlyweds and guests leaving Bath Abbey after the wedding of Major Richard Lloyd George and Roberta McAlpine on 7 April 1917. The groom's father, Prime Minister David Lloyd George, leads the procession of guests to the Imperial Hotel, waved off by an impressive crowd. For the PM, this happy day was probably a welcome if all-too-brief respite from the burdens of war. Keep an eye out for the tenacious photographers who dart about trying to get the perfect shot.
