The South West Film and Television Archive (SWFTA) is the regional film archive for the South West of England. Established in 1993, SWFTA's core collection comprises of the combined programme libraries of Westward Television and TSW (Television South West). The archive also cares for a significant number of donated film collections, both amateur and professional, dating back to the early 1900s.

Overview
Staff at Paignton Zoo have been kept busy this spring during birthing season., A lioness, ostriches, a porcupine and a fawn are some of the baby miracles. Originally known as Torbay Zoological Gardens, founded in 1923 by Herbert Whitley, Paignton Zoo Environmental Park is part of the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust (WWCT) set up at the time of Herbert’s death in 1955.
Paignton Zoo is run as a charity and is a place of conservation, research and education with over 2,000 animals and 1,500 species of plant. Originally known as Torbay Zoological Gardens, founded in 1923 by Herbert Whitley, Paignton Zoo Environmental Park is part of the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust (WWCT) set up at the time of Herbert’s death in 1955. The Zoo is a founding member of the International Zoo Educators' Association (IZE) in 1972. The first newsletter was edited by Jan Hatley the head of education at Paignton Zoo in 1976, published in 1977.
