Overview
Redditch has been a centre of needle making since the Middle Ages. A natural development from needles was the side-line of making fishing hooks and from there to making rods for the angler. This short magazine item from ATV shows the stages in the manufacture of fishing rods, which are all made individually by hand and so, according to commentator Lionel Hampden, the fisherman can tell his rod even if wearing a blind-fold.
