Overview

This travelogue appears to document the film crew’s spontaneous encounters with various types of Japanese people. These include female refuse-sorters on the street and a nicely dressed family visiting a temple. The location varies from a crowded avenue lined with what appear to be cherry blossoms, to an open-air performance of a traditional masked play, ending with the film’s only interior scene, in which an elegant young woman enjoys tea and sweets. The segments are probably unrelated. (Kosuke Fujiki)
