Overview
This home movie shows a quintessentially British and typical family barge holiday in the rural setting of the Shropshire Union Canal, near Bunbury, Cheshire, and allows us an insight into the holidaying of Londoners in the late 1970s. The images have benefitted from the bright blue skies, and there are some lovely shots of barges, as well as a number of the waterway’s iconic sights and bridges.
