Is This a Record?
Pythons join Frank Muir, Connie Booth and Willie Rushton celebrating the Guinness Book of Records.
Comedy 1973 22 mins
Overview
Half the Monty Python team - John Cleese, Terry Jones and Michael Palin - perform some splendidly silly sketchettes in this entertaining, affectionate and energetic comedy celebration of the Guinness Book of Records, presided over by Frank Muir. The film also features Willie Rushton, Connie Booth and Liza Goddard, and with animation by Bob Godfrey.
This surprisingly sharp short - featuring proper Python material you’ll not see anywhere else - was sponsored by the Guinness Company. So watch out for some product placement as Muir and Rushton sup up the black stuff.
