I'm Me
A musical celebration of learning-disabled identity
Overview
A music video performed by members of the Mind the Gap Theatre Ensemble and directed by French photographer Denis Darzacq, whose work often involves collaboration with people with learning disabilities.
Filmed in and around Bradford, the film and lyrics challenge the audience to see people for who they are. The music was composed by Jez Colborne, an internationally renowned artist and musician who has been working with Mind the Gap since 1998. Colborne has Williams Syndrome, a rare condition which is characterised, amongst other things, by a strong affinity with music.
