Overview
The open spaces of Holland Park host the 1954 outdoor exhibition in this film that documents the popular location as well as sculptures by a number of well-known artists, including Henry Moore and Jacob Epstein. The filmmaker captures his family strolling between the sculptures, skillfully juxtaposing these shots with those of the family on holiday - at the beach, at a zoo, having a picnic.
Especially amusing is the daughter's playful interaction with the artwork, such as mimicking the sculptures' various poses or pretending to feed Epstein's The Doves. This film is from the collection of Redbridge Museum, Local Studies and Archives.
