Overview

The Duke and the Duchess of York’s stay in the Vale of Conway was reported in newspapers far and wide. In this film Arthur Cheetham, a local showman turned exhibitor, attempts to exploit the spectacle of visiting royals via the new invention of animated photography. The film doesn’t provide the best views of the Duke and Duchess, perhaps leaving Cheetham to conjure excitement in his audiences through other means.
