Overview
D J Church's beautiful colour film captures the changing landscape of Sussex over the course of ten months. Beginning with wintry fields with shivering horses and foraging pigs. Gradually we see new growth returning and young animals like lambs and calves. May blossom sees bees at work followed by haymaking. We visit the Bognor Regis Show, seeing prize-winning flowers and cattle before summer harvesting scenes. The varying tints of autumnal foliage closes the film.
D J Church, who made this film, lived at various times in Horley, East Grinstead and Slinfold, all in West Sussex. He was a founder member of the Haywards Heath Cine & Video Society and would later become the organisation's vice-chairman and chairman.
