Cinema Commercial for Jewellers
It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that bling… early silent cinema advert for a local business in Frome.
Overview
Frome here to eternity: Herbert J. White's Somerset jewellery business thinks romance is only sealed with one of their engagement rings. Bespoke local cinema advertising was certainly more common before chain stores and franchises conquered the high street. But while it is short, this early 1920s ad featuring specially shot footage would have been an expensive outlay for a small business.
