Boat Passengers' Sports

Passengers make their own entertainment at sea with a game that’s a little rougher than shuffleboard.

Non-Fiction 1898 1 mins

Overview

On long journeys ships’ passengers had to make their own entertainment - in this case a rougher version of deck shuffleboard. A Warwick Trading Company catalogue includes films of on-board games such as “Bolster Bar” “Bowline Stretch” and “The Neptune Parade”. This doesn’t appear to be any of them. However, if you want to know how it’s done, watch out for the tall man who hands his pocket watch to a fellow passenger before completing a very quick lap.
