These joyous scenes in Worcester were filmed on 15 August, 1945 by local man John Beer. These brief views of the VJ Day celebrations in the city give a flavour to the ways in which that momentous day was marked across the country. The headline in the Worcester News and Times, 'World at Peace Once More' puts these events into the wider context that they deserve.
