Bass: Nuneaton Charter Celebrations
1957 and Nuneaton goes to town to celebrate its anniversary. From the carnival queen to the trade show and not forgetting the float parade in typically foul British weather.

Overview
Nuneaton received its borough charter in 1907. Fifty years on and the bunting is out to celebrate the anniversary. Led by the mayor, Councillor Robert Wilkinson, the action is captured by local filmmaker Len Bass, who does a comprehensive job. 'Ready to accomplish' is the town's motto and that's what the town does; from trade show to carnival parade. Look out for the nostalgic views of typical 1950s shop fronts decorated to mark the occasion.
