Overview
Dr John Glyn Jones, Brynsiencyn GP, captures shots of the great and the good - and a few wives - on the Eisteddfod field, including a clutch of poets (T H Parry-Williams, William Crwys Williams, Tom Parri Jones, Islwyn Ffowc Elis, Alun Jones and W D Williams, winner of the Chair), a couple of academics (Bedwyr Lewis Jones, J R Jones), three TV presenters (Gwyn Erfyl, Brian Hoey, Jenni Ogwen), and a Patagonian who relocated to Wales and worked for the Urdd (Elvey MacDonald).
This film also includes shots of two Dewis: Dewi Bebb of Bangor, the first Welsh-speaker to play rugby for Wales (he is seen wearing a red tie, holding a microphone, surrounded by youngish people) and the actor Dewi Rhys Humphreys Jones, who is seen, as a young boy, buying an ice-cream.
