Overview
Bruckshaw's of Glossop in Derbyshire were local bakers and this 8mm film shows their contribution to the 1966 carnival parade in the town. Joining the usual array of brownies, marching bands and the carnival queen the Bruckshaw's float provides us with a reminder of the days when local names ruled the high street; a time before the national chains moved in with their ubiquitous corporate colours.
